Vail, Colorado is not only one of the most popular winter resorts, but also a beautiful and relaxing place to visit in the summer. Spend a summertime in the Vail Valley and enjoy the festivals, events, activities...

Pedal Power...

Mountain bikes and road bikes have become a popular and exciting sport to the Vail Valley. Beaver Creek and Vail both offer a large terrain of trails and even open several lifts to take you and your bike to the top of the mountain. Vail hosts several bike races during the summer and has become a favorite to many professional riders.

Going For A Walk...

To enjoy the full experience of the mountains, pack a lunch and spend the day hiking along the hundreds of miles of trails through the National Forest. The trails are easy to access from Beaver Creek or Vail and each trail has it's own spectacular views of the mountains and valleys. Both resorts also open several lifts to take you to the top of the mountain where you can access even more trails.

The snow runoff in the spring makes for great rafting or kayaking along the Eagle River. Enjoy tackling the white water rapids or a relaxing raft ride through the Glenwood Canyon with one of Vail Valley's many licensed and qualified guides. There are also beginning courses in kayaking and a competitive kayak course on the Eagle River.

Gone Fishing!

Some of the best trout waters in the nation are located in the Rocky Mountains and Gore Creek in Vail is well known for it's trout fishing. Vail Valley is a fly fisherman's dream with all the lakes, rivers and streams located nearby. Visit one of the many outfitters for supplies and information or hire a guide to take you to the best fishing holes, but don't forget that fishing license.
