Vail/Beaver Creek: The US Ski Team had some excellent results in the Super G training. Chad Fleischer and Daron Rahlves both used CERAX Pro 2, Pro 1, and
Pro 4 while training for the downhill competition. The US Ski Team is very happy to test CERAX products, and objective tests using a pure test team will be conducted
in the Alps. CERAX has promised to cook up something special for Edi Waldburger, US Ski Team. Also the Swiss technician for Head also experiments regularly with
CERAX.
CERAX was tested for the first time in autumn 1998. A couple of weeks later it made its first appearance in the World-Cup. In the same season it was used more
than 100 times in World-Cup races by national teams. 26 World-Cup medals were won in the first season, 70 times racers in the World-Cup 1998/99 and the World
Championships 1999 were among the first 10.
A rather unusual success for a completely new material: The former trainer of Jochen Behle, Fritz Becker, immediately recognized that the material had potential, after
having seen a lot of different experiments to provide an improved lubrication material for skis. Further modifications were carried out after the first tests, and then it was
tested, tested, tested and improved. Its first appearance in the World-Cup was with the Russian Biathlon National Team in Hochfilzen in 1998. Both the men and the
women vice-world-champions in Kontiolathi had skis prepared with CERAX PRO 2.
The first alpine test was in mid January 1999 by the renowned Swiss wax technician Walter Lüthi, 2 weeks later after intensive tests by ski-manufacturers and teams
CERAX made its debut in the World Championship in Vail.
We also know that the French cross-country/Biathlon team has bought a quantity of CERAX, and Start distributes CERAX in Finland and the former Soviet states. It is
impossible to keep track of who has used it and where, but all the results from testers have all come back positive!
In the nordic discipline CERAX was tested in the German Championship and the European Championship to finally make it to the World Championship in Ramsau.
A ski-manufacturer had tested CERAX and had spontaneously used it in the Vierschanzentournee to win a silver medal.
